The Presidential Suite 105 and 106 of Milan’s magical “Grand Hotel et de Milan” @ghoteletdemilan is better known as the Verdi Suite.

Maestro Giuseppe Verdi lived at this grand hotel from 1872, the year after his famous opera Aida premiered in Cairo, till his death in 1901. One of the reasons for choosing the hotel was the proximity to the famous opera house La Scala which is walking distance from the hotel.

Verdi composed his last two operas Otello (1887) and Flastaff (1893) at the hotel where he also died at the age of 87.
